25 Weeks

How far along? 25 Weeks.
Total weight gain/loss: 20 pounds gained.
Maternity clothes? Definitely. The looser the better!
Best moment this week: Stew and I celebrated our anniversary this weekend. Turner stayed with my mom and step-dad, which he loved, and Stew and I stayed at a bed and breakfast in Charleston. It was so perfect!
Miss Anything? Tons of energy, loving coffee, hot sweaty workouts.
How are you sleeping? Like a rock!
Movement: I’m happy to say that she’s really moving a lot! She was quiet for a few days which made me nervous. But now she won’t stop!
Food cravings: I still don’t love food. I just sort of eat what strikes me as appetizing at the moment and try to get some healthy things in the mix.
Anything making you queasy or sick: I still have random queasy days but I’m definitely better than I was.
Gender: GIRL!!!
Labor Signs: Nope.
Belly Button in or out? In.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Very happy!

24 Weeks

How far along? 24 Weeks.
Total weight gain/loss: 19 pounds gained.
Maternity clothes? Yes! I feel a lot better about myself when I actually wear clothes that fit properly.
Best moment this week: There were a lot of good ones. I definitely loved going to the birth center and hearing Baby Girl’s heart and hearing that she is measuring exactly where she needs to be. I also picked up some bedding for Baby Girl’s room that is so cute!
Miss Anything? My energy has picked up, but I am still really slow to get started in the mornings. I miss getting up and going right away.
How are you sleeping? Great!
Movement: She was quiet the other day, so I got nervous. But when I got in bed to go to sleep, she was practically kicking a whole in the mattress. So, yes, she’s moving.
Food cravings: I’m not really hungry, but I can eat pretty much anything these days.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Still on good ol’ Diclegis. I had a few rough days last week and now feel fine. It must be a surge of hormones or something. As far as food goes, broccoli is nauseating to even think about.
Gender: GIRL!!!
Labor Signs: Nope.
Belly Button in or out? Still in, surprisingly!
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or Moody most of the time: So happy. Ask me again when I’m sleep deprived in a few months.
What are you excited for? so much….but definitely excited to soak up our time with Turner. He’s so amazing! I just signed him up for a swimming class that starts next week. I’m excited to do that with him.

23 Weeks

How far along? 23 Weeks.
Total weight gain/loss: 18 pounds gained.
Maternity clothes? One of my girlfriends just let me borrow some of her maternity clothes, so yes! Maternity bottoms are key but I can still wear most of my regular shirts.
Best moment this week: This was such a great week! The best moment was going to the oncologist with my husband and hearing that his scan was all clear. He is officially in remission!
Miss Anything? Loving coffee. I’ve been feeling pretty good this week so I can’t say I miss having energy.
How are you sleeping? Great!
Movement: Lots of movement from Baby Girl, especially at night.
Food cravings: I’ve been eating a little better since the queasiness has subsided. I’m not really craving anything in particular. I’m holding steady with my love of cheddar and triscuits, watermelon, berries, and mexican food.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Well, last week, I went down to 1 Diclegis pill at night. After about 3 days I was really feeling rough. So I went back up to 2. This week I feel like I may have turned a corner though. I don’t feel queasy through the medicine (like I have in the past) and my energy seems to be picking up a bit! I’m hopeful!
Have you started to show yet: On yea!
Gender: GIRL!!!
Labor Signs: Nope.
Belly Button in or out? veeeerrrryyyy shallow.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy! This has been probably the best week I’ve had in a while. Everything seems to be falling into place and I’m actually feeling pretty good, which is always a bonus!
What are you excited for? My visit to the dr next week and decorating the nursery. We have all of the furniture in her room and the room painted. We bought a portable closet for the attic so we can move everything we’ve been hording in that closet for the past 5 years. All we really have left is putting up the crown molding and arranging the furniture!

22 Weeks

How far along? 22 Weeks.
Total weight gain/loss: 17 pounds gained.
Maternity clothes? Mixing and matching. My regular dresses and drawstring shorts are key.
Best moment this week: Turner walking into the nursery and said “baby sister’s woom”. It was so cute! It gave me hope that the transition won’t be as hard as I’m imagining.
Miss Anything? energy, coffee, solid work outs
How are you sleeping? wonderfully.
Movement: Oh yea! She’s constantly moving around in there.
Food cravings: Sharp cheddar cheese and triscuits, cherries, watermelon
Anything making you queasy or sick: Still have queasy days. I’m still on Diglegis until I don’t feel any queasiness.
Have you started to show yet: for sure
Gender: GIRL!!!
Labor Signs: Nope.
Belly Button in or out? In but shallow.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Definitely happy.
What are you excited for? My next dr’s visit and decorating the nursery.

21 Weeks

How far along? 21 Weeks.
Total weight gain/loss: 16 pounds gained.
Maternity clothes? Here and there. The picture above is just a regular cotton dress I have.
Best moment this week: Now that Turner has a regular bed, it’s easy to snuggle. So it’s been amazing lying in bed with him and singing together. I’ve really been soaking up our time.
Miss Anything? Having energy.
How are you sleeping? Solid.
Movement: Definitely
Food cravings: Sharp cheddar cheese and triscuits, cherries, watermelon
Anything making you queasy or sick: I’ve been feeling pretty good! Maybe I’ve turned a corner. I’ll try to cut down to 1 diclegis pill again next week and see how it goes.
Have you started to show yet: oh yea.
Gender: GIRL!!!
Labor Signs: Nope.
Belly Button in or out? In but shallow.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Definitely happy.
What are you excited for? Decorating the nursery and finishing Turner’s big-boy room. It’s sort of been in limbo since I got pregnant. Now I’m feeling well enough to put some finishing touches on it.

20 Weeks

How far along? 20 Weeks. Halfway there!
Total weight gain/loss: 15 pounds gained.
Maternity clothes? Oh yea. I’m wearing a mix of dresses, maternity clothes, and my workout clothes
Best moment this week: Seeing and hearing Baby Girl at our 20 weeks ultrasound. She weighs 12 oz and is measuring right where she needs to be!
Miss Anything? Getting through a day without feeling like I could fall asleep at the drop of a hat.
How are you sleeping? Sleeping great!
Movement: She moves so much. Sometimes she’ll give me a solid kick and make me jump.
Food cravings: Cheese, spicy things, watermelon, strawberries, and water with cucumber and mint.
Anything making you queasy or sick: I have good and bad days. I tried going down to 1 Diclegis pill at night. After 3 nights of that my nausea was getting stronger. So I went back up to 2. After a day or two I was back to feeling decent. I’ve changed my mentality so I’m not constantly waiting for when I feel better, but just accepting that this is what’s happening now.
Have you started to show yet: definitely
Gender: GIRL!!!
Labor Signs: Nope.
Belly Button in or out? In but shallow.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or Moody most of the time: I’m feeling really happy lately!
What are you excited for? I really can’t wait to meet this baby! But I’ve got quite a while. So, in the meantime, I’m excited to soak up every day as a family of 3.

19 Weeks

How far along? 19 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 13 pounds gained.
Maternity clothes? Definitely. After trying (unsuccessfully) to fit into my regular gym clothes, my girlfriends were like, “Emily would you just buy maternity clothes!?” So, alas, Stew and I had a little shopping date yesterday afternoon. I got the pants in this picture from A Pea in the Pod, along with some other goodies, and they will be a daily staple!
Best moment this week: I ordered an adorable pouf ottoman on Etsy for Baby Girl’s room. It came in the mail this week and I was so excited! Made my vision for her room come to life.
Miss Anything? Energy and loving coffee! I can’t wait for a hot creamy mug. I also don’t like ice cream. What is wrong with me!?
How are you sleeping? Wonderfully. Sleep is definitely not an issue for me!
Movement: Oh yea!
Food cravings: Cheese, spicy things, watermelon, strawberries, and water with cucumber and mint.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Still have an underlying queasiness. Food helps and repulses me all at the same time. But I’m managing to keep a pretty good diet except for the extra queasy days where I just live off cereal and teddy grahams.
Have you started to show yet: oh yea!
Gender: GIRL!!!
Labor Signs: Nope.
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Definitely a happy week!
What are you excited for? Celebrating Mother’s Day with my family tomorrow and my 20 weeks ultrasound on Tuesday.

18 Weeks

How far along? 18 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 12 pounds gained.
Maternity clothes? Well I’m mixing and matching. I never really bought a lot of “maternity clothes” with Turner. So I’m mixing it up with my yoga clothes, elastic shorts, and dresses.
Best moment this week: Feeling Baby Girl kick!!!! She has been non stop ever since I realized I felt her last week! I was up with Turner in the middle of the night doing his nebulizer treatment, and when I got back in bed, I felt her little kicks. It was almost like she was like, “hey I’m here too guys!”.
Miss Anything? I want to feel good! I still have an underlying queasy feeling, even on the meds.
How are you sleeping? Well I would be sleeping great if Turner wasn’t having coughing attacks every night. I’ve had to do his nebulizer treatment every night this week! Needless to say, I’m exhausted.
Movement: Definitely!
Food cravings: I love cheddar cheese and triscuits. Savory foods are my friend.
Anything making you queasy or sick: I don’t like coffee or sweets, both of which I’m normally addicted to!
Have you started to show yet: Definitely!
Gender: GIRL!!!
Labor Signs: Nope.
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or Moody most of the time: I wouldn’t quite call it moody, but I’m easily aggravated. It could be the extreme pregnancy exhaustion mixed with taking care of a coughing toddler in the middle of the night!
What are you excited for? Feeling better and getting my energy back! Hey, I can be hopeful!

17 Weeks

 How far along? 17 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 11 pounds gained.
Maternity clothes? I just broke them out of the attic. I swapped out summer and winter and organized what I will fit into throughout the summer along with some maternity gems (like jeans in this pic from A Pea in the Pod).
Best moment this week: Painting Baby Girl’s room and taking Turner strawberry picking.
Miss Anything? Feeling well and having the energy to enjoy doing fun things with Turner.
How are you sleeping? Like a rock. I went to bed at 8:30 last night and slept until 8 this morning!
Movement: Not quite. I just feel her shifting around.
Food cravings: Pretty much the same. I still don’t love food. I’m just trying to pack some good stuff in so I can feed this baby!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Still feeling a bit queasy. It doesn’t really stop me from functioning (that’s the exhaustion), but I’m still on Diclegis. Hopefully I’ll be able to stop soon and maybe get some energy back!
Have you started to show yet: Yes. Someone came up to me at the gym this morning and was like “Congratulations! I was wondering if you were pregnant” So I guess I’m past the I-look-like-I’ve-been-spending-too-much-time-at-Dunkin-Donuts phase.
Gender: GIRL!!!
Labor Signs: Nope.
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy. I wouldn’t say I’m moody, but I definitely get discouraged when I have rough days because I expect that I should be past the feeling crappy stage. But expectations always set me up for failure, so I’m trying to just focus on the moment!
What are you excited for? I’m excited to decorate Baby Girl’s room!

16 Weeks

How far along? 16 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 10 pounds gained.
Maternity clothes? Not yet. I’m wearing mostly my yoga clothes. I have a few pairs of drawstring shorts that are awesome, and I’m definitely rocking dresses.
Best moment this week: There have been a few great moments. The best was probably having success in potty training Turner! I love seeing how proud he is of himself! I also loved going to the birth center and hearing Baby Girl’s strong heartbeat!
Miss Anything? Having energy, feeling well, and coffee.
How are you sleeping? Great. I could sleep for days straight.
Movement: I feel some pressure shifting but no kicks!
Food cravings: I love cheddar cheese and crackers. I found out this week that my iron is really low, so I’ll have to do a better job of getting iron into my diet along with taking my iron supplement!
Anything making you queasy or sick: I’ve still been queasy, especially at night. My days are ok except for being exhausted. I’m still on Diclegis and will continue until I don’t feel any sign of queasiness. It’s amazing how different this pregnancy is! Although, if I felt this way while I was pregnant with Turner, I probably wouldn’t have done it again!
Have you started to show yet: Definitely. I’m expanding all around instead of straight out like I did with Turner.
Gender: GIRL!!!
Labor Signs: Nope.
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or Moody most of the time: So happy! We watched Nashville last night and Juliet just had her baby. She has been a moody B*@$*. So, I looked at Stew and said, “don’t you feel lucky?”
What are you excited for? We just moved my office to the FROG (furnished room over garage) to make room for Baby Girl’s nursery! We bought paint this morning, and I picked up a few furniture pieces last week. I can’t wait to get started on the decorating.
