It’s safe to say that, for the majority of this pregnancy, I’ve felt rough. I’ve been on Diclegis the entire time for nausea, and I’ve been sooo tired! I know it could always be worse, but it definitely isn’t as easy as my pregnancy with Turner!
But, the past 2 weeks, I’ve had a major energy boost! I know, strange for the last few weeks of pregnancy. But, I’ll take what I can get! I never really experienced the “nesting” phase with Turner, because I’m always sort of OCD and overly organized. But I don’t think there’s a surface or drawer that hasn’t been organized by me in the past 2 weeks! I’m talking hands-and-knees-magic-erasing-everything.
Over the weekend, Stew and I were in project mode! He built some built-in cabinets in our living room a few months ago and it’s been half finished for quite a while. So this weekend, we went out to get what we needed to finish. Now all it needs is some white paint and we’ll be ready for holiday mantel decorating!
We also worked on the nursery, but it’s not ready for pictures quite yet. All of the window, floor and door trim is up and about half of the crown molding is up. But the room looks like a bomb went off because everything is in a pile in the center! Once all of the trim is done, I’ll get Baby Girl’s room whipped into shape.
And, of course, we took breaks for ice cream and snuggles so Turner didn’t mind too much! He actually really enjoyed helping us with the projects too.
We are really making progress! We’re running out of weekends to get ready for Baby Girl’s arrival, so it’s crunch time! Stay tuned for more projects to come!
